The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG), in-charge of Zone 13 Ukpo, Anambra State, AIG Godwin Ndidi Aghaulor, recently carried out a special decoration ceremony to honor three senior police officers who were promoted within the zone. ACP Rabiu Garba, ACP Ngozi Nwokama, and ACP Lucky Seibai were all decorated with their new ranks, marking their transition from Chief Superintendents of Police (CSPs) to Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACPs).
The decoration exercise, which took place at the Zonal Headquarters in Ukpo on Wednesday, was led by AIG Aghaulor. During the ceremony, the AIG reminded the newly promoted officers of the increased levels of responsibility that come with their new ranks. He encouraged them to exhibit higher wisdom in their actions and decision-making processes as they lead their subordinates.
AIG Aghaulor emphasized that the promotions were a testament to the hard work and dedication the officers had displayed throughout their careers. He expressed gratitude to the acting Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Kayode Egbetokun, for recommending their promotions. He also commended the officers’ commitment and acknowledged the support of the Police Service Commission (PSC) and the entire Zone 13 for making the decoration ceremony possible.
ollowing the AIG’s address, ACP Ngozi Nwokama spoke on behalf of the other decorated officers. ACP Nwokama expressed gratitude to God, the IGP, the PSC, the AIG, and the Zone for their roles in their promotion and decoration. She assured that they would redouble their efforts and remain dedicated to their duties.
It was revealed that ACP Ngozi Nwokama currently serves in Zone 13 Ukpo as the officer in charge of D2 (Anti-Child Trafficking Section), ACP Rabiu Garba is in charge of the Central Police Station in Onitsha, and ACP Lucky Seibai holds the position of 2/1c Area Command in Onitsha.
The decoration ceremony was attended by the AIG’s management team, who assisted in decorating the officers. Spouses, family members, and friends of the decorated officers were also present to witness the event and show their support.
The special occasion served as a recognition of the officers’ hard work and dedication to the police force. It highlighted the commitment of the Zone 13 Ukpo to ensuring the growth and advancement of its officers, while motivating others to strive for excellence in their own careers.
