Ukpo, Anambra State — In a strategic move to strengthen security collaboration, the Nigerian Legion (Military Veterans), Anambra State Council (N.L.A.S.C), has initiated stronger ties with the Nigeria Police Force at Zone 13 Headquarters, Ukpo.

A high-level delegation led by the State Commandant of the Legion, Assistant Commandant General (ACG) Agbogu, paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 13, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo. The delegation also included senior military veterans such as the Council Secretary, Captain Mike Onwudinjo KSJI, MNSE.
Speaking during the meeting, ACG Agbogu commended AIG Abayomi’s strategic leadership and tireless efforts in combating crime across the Zone. He noted that the veterans were eager to contribute their wealth of experience toward enhancing security, particularly in intelligence gathering and community engagement.

Responding, AIG Abayomi warmly welcomed the veterans and praised their patriotic commitment. He described them as “invaluable national assets” whose expertise can greatly reinforce the existing security framework. The AIG assured them of full cooperation, urging them to channel their efforts through lawful operations while playing a critical role in intelligence sharing.
