Oba, Anambra State — Renowned native doctor Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki has been arrested by operatives of the Anambra State vigilante group, Agunaechemba, following allegations of preparing charms for kidnappers disguised as internet fraudsters.
The arrest, which has drawn widespread attention due to Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki’s popularity in the state, was confirmed through a post shared on a local platform stating, “Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki n’Oba denies okeite and has been detained for further investigation by the security agency.”
Sources indicate that the allegations link the native doctor to providing “juju” for criminal groups terrorizing communities in Anambra State. His purported clients reportedly masquerade as “yahoo boys” while engaging in kidnapping activities.

As investigations are ongoing, security operatives have not yet released an official statement detailing the extent of Akwa Okuko Tiwaraki’s alleged involvement. However, his arrest has sparked mixed reactions from residents, with some expressing shock and others calling for a thorough investigation.
