In a significant recognition of dedication and professionalism, the Zonal Police Public Relations Officer of Zone 13, SP Josephine Ihunwo, has been awarded the prestigious titles of Best Woman Police Officer of the Year 2024 and Outstanding Well-Dressed Officer of the Year 2024. The awards were presented by Pechilly Investigative Media in collaboration with World Peace Advocate at a special ceremony held today at the Zone 13 Police Command Headquarters in Ukpo.
The event drew an array of dignitaries, media representatives, and well-wishers who gathered to celebrate Ihunwo’s remarkable achievements. She triumphed over a competitive field, garnering an impressive margin of 19,000 votes for the Best Woman Police Officer award and 10,000 votes for the Outstanding Well-Dressed Officer accolade. The organizers emphasized the credibility of the voting process, underscoring the numerous nominations and the transparent system that led to Ihunwo’s win.
In her acceptance speech, SP Ihunwo expressed heartfelt gratitude to the event’s sponsors, organizers, and the voters who recognized her commitment and hard work. “This honor is not just a personal achievement; it reflects the tireless efforts of many within the Nigeria Police Force who strive for excellence every day,” she stated. “I am deeply humbled to have received such overwhelming support and acknowledgment.”
