Ukpo, Anambra State – The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Zone 13, Ukpo, in Dunukofia Local Government Area of Anambra State, has joined millions around the world in celebrating Mother’s Day with a heartfelt appeal to the public: “Show Some Love to Our Mothers.”

The Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) in charge of Zone 13, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo, used the occasion to honor the dedication, sacrifices, and unwavering love that mothers provide to their families and communities.
Speaking through the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the Zone, CSP Josephine Ihunwo, AIG Oladipo underscored the importance of recognizing and appreciating mothers, emphasizing that the message, “Show Some Love to Our Mothers,” was initiated from his office to educate the public on the significance of Mother’s Day.
He encouraged individuals to celebrate their mothers in meaningful ways, recognizing the essential role they play in shaping society.
CSP Ihunwo further urged Nigerians to reflect on the impact of motherhood and take deliberate steps to express gratitude and affection. She stressed that a mother’s love is foundational in a child’s life, particularly calling on young people to prioritize caring for their mothers, as “Mothers are special.”
The NPF Zone 13’s initiative aims to foster a culture of appreciation for mothers, reinforcing the need to recognize and honor them not just on Mother’s Day but every day.
