Born on May 12, 1937, retired IGP Ibrahim Aliyu Attah served as the 8th indigenous Inspector-General of Police from 1990 to 1993, leaving an indelible mark on the history of the Force.
During his tenure, Attah showcased exceptional leadership skills and managerial acumen, resulting in numerous significant achievements for the police force. One of the remarkable legacies he established was the Nigeria Police Community Bank, a groundbreaking initiative that has now transformed into the Nigeria Police Force Microfinance Bank. This evolution stands as a testament to his enduring vision and impact on the institution.
