Today, October 31, 2024, marked an inspiring display of community spirit and good governance as traders and workers in the New Tire Market gathered for a major cleanup initiative. Under the guidance of Hon. Eric Ibezim, the cleanup effort showcased the market’s commitment to maintaining a clean and healthy environment—a goal set by the state’s governor, Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo.
On a routine inspection, Pechilly, an investigative reporter, observed the active involvement of community members in the cleanup. Hon. Eric Ibezim took the opportunity to express gratitude for the remarkable changes brought by Gov. Soludo. He praised the governor’s consistent dedication to his promises, emphasizing that the state has rarely seen such fulfillment of electoral pledges.
Hon. Ibezim, speaking on behalf of the market community, expressed immense appreciation to the governor and conveyed special thanks to Hon. Evanrest Nnabuayi, whose leadership within the market has empowered local governance. “We are honored to have a leader like Prof. Soludo who not only makes promises but fulfills them,” said Ibezim.
The event highlighted how, under the current administration, good governance has extended to local communities, where citizens now actively take part in creating clean, healthy spaces for all.
