In an exciting development, CC Joyce Nnennaya Alexander has assumed duty as the 15th substantive Sector Commander of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) in Anambra state. This highly anticipated appointment was made following her deployment by the Corps Marshal, FRSC, Shehu Mohammed.
CC Alexander officially took over from her predecessor, CC Adeoye A Irelewuyi, who has been posted to Jos as the Ag. Zonal Commanding Officer RS4HQ. With her new role, CC Alexander will spearhead road safety operations in Anambra state, taking on the responsibility of ensuring the safety and security of lives on the roads.
Hailing from Arochukwu Local Government Area of Abia State, the newly appointed Sector Commander holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in English and Literary Studies from the University of Calabar. CC Alexander’s journey in the FRSC began in 1987 when she joined as a Senior Route Commander, steadily progressing through the ranks. In January 2023, she was promoted to the rank of Corps Commander, a testament to her dedication and exceptional performance within the organization.
Throughout her career, CC Alexander has held various important positions within the FRSC. She served as the Presenter/Producer of Road Safety Watch, an FRSC Public Enlightenment program on NTA International Programme. She also displayed her leadership skills as a Unit Commander in Lugbe, Abuja, and as the Zonal Head of Operations in Zone RS7HQ, Abuja. Additionally, she was the CC Academy (Training) RSHQ in FRSC National Headquarters, Abuja until her recent deployment as the Anambra State Sector Commander.
In her pursuit of excellence, CC Alexander has undertaken numerous professional capacity development courses. Notable among them is a Diploma Course in journalism at NTA Television College and a Defensive Driving Technique Course by the American National Safety Council. These courses have equipped her with the skills needed to tackle road safety challenges effectively.
CC Joyce Nnennaya Alexander has gained a well-deserved reputation for her exemplary leadership and operational capability, especially in demanding circumstances. Her dedication and unwavering commitment to the safety and security of lives and property on the roads have been widely recognized within the FRSC.
With her wealth of experience and expertise, CC Alexander is poised to bring about positive changes and enhance road safety standards in Anambra state.
