A joint operation consisting of the Army’s 302 Artillery Regiment (GS), the Navy, the Department of State Security, and the Anambra State Vigilante, based on a verified Intel, successfully raided a rebel camp in Ogbunka, Orumba North Local Government Area of Anambra State.
The joint operation took six hours of heavy bullet exchange with the armed criminals.
They were later neutralized.
However, findings show that criminals had explosives buried in the ground as shields within the camp.

The Police Public Relations Officer, Anambra state command, Tochukwu Ikenga in a press release listed items recovered, including cooking utensils, food supplies, and components of dismantled vehicles suspected to be stolen.
He stated that although some of the criminals escaped with various bullet injuries, the Operatives have set out perimeter around the area to scout and apprehend the suspects that are on the run, maintain security control and prevent further disturbances to the community.

Mr Ikenga while detailing the Joint Security Force’s success, reaffirmed the Command’s commitment, on behalf of all security agencies, in safeguarding the lives and property of Ndi Anambra and building trust within the citizenry for a better security networking
