Hon. Chiejina Anthony Obieze has commended the Supreme Court of Nigeria for delivering a landmark judgment affirming Barrister Sly Ezeokenwa as the authentic National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He described the verdict as a testament to the unity and progressive ideology of APGA as a peaceful political family.
In his congratulatory message, Hon. Obieze lauded Governor Chukwuma Soludo and other prominent stakeholders within the party for their resilience and dedication to ensuring that justice ultimately prevailed. According to him, the Supreme Court’s decision underscores the judiciary’s role in strengthening democracy and safeguarding the rule of law.
Reflecting on Ezeokenwa’s leadership, Hon. Obieze highlighted the significant strides APGA has made under his stewardship. He noted that the National Chairman’s reforms have transformed the party, citing the successful conduct of the September 28, 2024, Local Government Election in Anambra State as a key achievement.
Hon. Obieze called on APGA members and loyalists to rally behind the party’s leadership, emphasizing the need for unity and focus now that the internal leadership tussle has been decisively resolved. He urged party faithful to work towards consolidating APGA’s influence, particularly as the Anambra South Senatorial Zone prepares for the forthcoming Senatorial By-election.
