A tragic incident has struck Anambra State as gunmen suspected to be kidnappers killed a female banker, identified simply as Ifeoma, despite receiving a ransom from her family.
The heartbreaking news was disclosed by Harrison Gwamnishu, a Delta State-based human rights activist, through a post on his official Facebook page. According to Gwamnishu, Ifeoma’s lifeless body was discovered along Ideani Junction on the Nnobi/Alor road after her abductors dumped it there.
Sharing the grim details, Gwamnishu stated, “Ifeoma, a banker, was kidnapped in Anambra State. Ransom was demanded, and the family paid, but her abductors still killed her and dumped her body around Ideani Junction, Nnobi/Alor road, Anambra. Lives are being taken daily, and it’s sad nothing is being done to end all this killing.”
The incident has sparked outrage and concern among residents and advocates for security reform. Many are calling on the government and law enforcement agencies to intensify efforts to combat rising insecurity in the state and across the country.
This tragic development underscores the growing insecurity that continues to plague communities in Nigeria, with citizens urging immediate and decisive action to safeguard lives and property.
