In a swift response to a viral video, the Nigeria Police has confirmed that the suspects involved in the hijacking of a DAF SF Truck carrying 40,000 liters of Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) on May 29, 2024, were dismissed police officers. The successful operation led to the rescue of the hijacked driver and motor boy, bringing these criminal elements to justice.
The suspects have been identified as ex-Inspector Otache Egbe, ex-Inspector Abah Solomon, and ex-Sergeant James Mamah. The investigation, conducted by the Police, resulted in the recovery of crucial evidence, including two AK-47 rifles, 105 rounds of ammunition, and various security uniforms, solidifying the case against the suspects.
The Police’s swift action and determination to eradicate criminal elements, regardless of their previous affiliations, sends a powerful message.
