The visit happun today, 27th May 2025, and na better delegation follow am, full of senior officers and beta people.
As dem sit down for the Palace, CP Orutugu no waste time to salute Awka indigenes and residents say dem dey show mature level – no fight, no yawa, and dem dey cooperate well-well with police people to make the place safe.
The CP even knack tori about the recent Imoka Festival, wey go down smooth without kasala or gbege – unlike before wey some bad belle people dey use festival do anyhow. Dis one na serious sign say Awka people don wise and dey reason for community peace.
Him come use the opportunity beg other communities for Anambra make dem copy Awka style – say peace and better relationship with police na the real deal.
The Kabiyesi, Igwe Dr Gibson Nwosu, thank CP Orutugu and him team say dem remember to come greet the throne. Him pray for the Police Command and promise full support as e concern security matter for the state.
Na big men full ground for the welcome, including the Prime Minister of Awka, UNIZIK Chief Security Officer (wey dey inside the Palace crew), kingmakers and many respected chiefs.
