The Commissioner of Police Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, joined high-powered dignitaries today on the occasion of the 1st anniversary of the commissioning of the Permanent site of Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital and Projects in Nnewi. The CP, while assessing the security deployment around the facility, assured the Police Command’s continuous support in providing security within the hospital premises.
The event, which was led by Prof. Muhammad Ali Pate, the Honorable Minister of Health and Social Welfare of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, saw the presence of the Deputy Governor of Anambra State, His Excellency Dr Onyekachukwu Ibezim, His Royal Highness Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu, Sir Emeka Offor, and other notable individuals.
CP Itam emphasized the importance of the hospital as a crucial infrastructure that provides life-saving medical treatment and healthcare services. He highlighted the police force’s commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all patients, staff, and visitors within the hospital facility.
The news of the anniversary celebration and the CP’s assurance of security was communicated to the media by SP Tochukwu Ikenga, the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command. This reaffirms the commitment of the police force in maintaining a safe environment for healthcare services at Nnamdi Azikiwe Teaching Hospital.
