Anambra State, Nigeria – Since assuming the role of Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam has been leading efforts to enhance the security situation in the state. Today, he met with various officers and commanders to discuss modifications to the policing plan.
CP Itam emphasised the importance of an intelligent-driven, technologically supportive, and tactically-led approach to policing. He underlined the need for timely responses to security service requests from the people of Anambra.
During the lectures and briefings, CP Itam reviewed the existing policing plan and offered guidance on personnel positioning to address security concerns effectively. He stressed the significance of community policing principles, emphasizing trust, understanding, and partnership with the public.
Furthermore, CP Itam made it clear that unprofessional conduct from police personnel would not be tolerated under his leadership. He urged officers to demonstrate competence, good character, and courage while discharging their duties.
Highlighting the importance of inclusiveness, CP Itam announced his administration’s commitment to operating an all-inclusive policing system. He welcomed information and contributions from individuals who wished to assist the police in their efforts to maintain safety and public order.
The Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, reaffirmed the commitment of the Anambra State Command to upholding the directives of CP Itam. He stated that the command is dedicated to fostering a safe and secure environment for the residents of Anambra.
As the 34th Commissioner of Police for Anambra State, CP Itam has shown a strong determination to improve the security situation in the state. With the modification of the policing plan and the focus on community partnership, it is hoped that Anambra will witness a significant improvement in overall security.
The efforts of CP Itam and the entire Anambra State Command deserve commendation as they strive towards a safer and more secure Anambra for all residents.
