In a strategic move aimed at fortifying political coordination and ensuring electoral success, the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) Tactical Committee met with the Anambra State Solution Marshals (ASSMAL) on Monday, May 19, 2025. The high-level engagement was held at Omagba Phase II, Onitsha North Local Government Area, with key party stakeholders and grassroots mobilizers in attendance.
The meeting, themed “Building Synergy for Victory,” was spearheaded by the Supreme Leader of the Solution Marshals, Hon. Comrade Celestine Anere (M.D, OCHA Brigade), and the Chairman of the APGA Tactical Committee, Chief Barr. Okwy Maduekwe (Anunyiluonyeusa Na Oba). The discussions centered on strategies for a successful campaign in the upcoming Onitsha North House of Assembly elections, the South Senatorial seat, and the November 8, 2025, gubernatorial election.

The Majority Leader of the Anambra State House of Assembly and Marshal Superior of ASSMAL, Hon. Chief Sir Sylvester Ikenna Ofodeme (Owelle Ichie), called for sustained unity between APGA LGA Chairmen and mayors. “It is essential,” he said, “that mayors carry party chairmen along in the scheme of things. We must avoid any form of disunity that can jeopardize our collective mission.”
Hon. Tony Nweze Nwora, Mayor of Onitsha North LGA, commended the Solution Marshals for their unprecedented role in party restructuring and political engagement. He pledged to relay the resolutions from the meeting to his fellow mayors and reinforce grassroots synergy.
Also present was Chief Mmilienweilo, Chairman of the APGA South Senatorial Zone LGA Chairmen, who lauded the Marshals for their dynamic and inclusive approach. The Tactical Committee expressed gratitude to Hon. Barr. Okwy Maduekwe (Prof.) for his generous hosting and leadership.
In a significant highlight of the event, Mayor Tony Nweze Nwora and Hon. Barr. Okwy Maduekwe (Prof.) were ceremoniously inducted as high-ranking members of the Solution Marshal, further cementing the bond between both structures.
