In a remarkable display of practical intelligence and tactical operations, the Anambra State Police Command has made another breakthrough in their fight against crime. Led by CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, the command’s operatives acted swiftly to provide information and seized an opportunity to intercept a shuttle bus along Port Harcourt Road Fegge, Onitsha.
During the operation, the police recovered two 50KG bags containing four cartons of live cartridges – a total of 1,170 pieces. The convener of the group managed to evade the police, but the driver of the shuttle bus was apprehended and is currently undergoing interrogation.
Simultaneously, on Creek Road, Fegge, the police arrested Mr Kingsley Orji from Okwudo village, Mgbidi, Imo State. They successfully recovered a stolen Lexus RX350 (with the registration number YAB 912 HR), which had been snatched at gunpoint by six armed men along Love Line assembly, Imo State.
Notably, the suspect, Mr Kingsley Orji, confessed to the crime and has been providing valuable information that is aiding in the apprehension of other members of the gang involved in the car theft.
The Anambra State Police Command, under the leadership of CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, continues to prioritise the safety and security of the residents. CP Itam highlighted the dedication of the operatives to sustain their efforts in denying criminal elements the freedom they currently enjoy in the state.
He also assured the people of Anambra that every information they provide will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and promptly acted upon. The Command remains committed to the ongoing operation aimed at eradicating criminal activities within Anambra State.
