The Anambra State Police Command has taken note of the trending publications surrounding the alleged incident of nine fishermen being kidnapped. The Command, not wanting to engage in any unnecessary disputes, is inviting the relatives of the victims to come forward and provide necessary information to aid in the ongoing investigations. This collaboration will help drive decision-making regarding security deployment and strategy in the state, with the goal of preventing such incidents from reoccurring in the future, if true.
Expressing shock that a case of such magnitude trending online does not have any link with any Police Formation in the State, the Command acknowledges the reactions of certain alleged interested parties and individuals. However, the Command remains undeterred by comments and assures the public of its readiness to deploy investigative assets and collaborate with any concerned body or interest to facilitate a possible rescue.
The Command reiterates its unwavering commitment to fulfilling its mandate of protecting lives and property. Members of the public, especially eyewitnesses or individuals with any useful information, are advised to reach out to the Command Control Room at *07039194332* or the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) at *08039334002*. This call for assistance aims to promote swift action and ensure a successful resolution to the alleged kidnapping incident.
