The Anambra State Keke Driver Forum (AKDF) has called on the state government to remove touts harassing tricycle operators in Awka. During a meeting, the chairman, Comrade Osita Obi, urged Keke drivers to trust and support the “Solution Government” led by Governor Chukwuma Soludo, emphasizing that their taxes are being used to develop and secure the state.

Uchenna Umeh, the forum’s secretary, pleaded for the deployment of a special anti-touting squad in areas like Ifite, Regina, Eke Awka, Ichide Junction, and Aroma to curb extortion and robberies by touts. He cited Onitsha as a successful example of tout eradication.

Comrade Osita Obi stressed the importance of unity and cooperation with the government to achieve a better Anambra. He also reminded all Keke operators to display their plate numbers, stating that any tricycle without one belongs to criminals. He reaffirmed that Governor Soludo has good intentions for Ndi Anambra and urged everyone to support his efforts in making the state safer and more beautiful.
