In a bid to overcome the prevailing issue of hunger in the country, the Chief of Staff to the Anambra State Governor, Mr. Ernest Ezeajughi, has called on residents in the state to embrace farming. This appeal comes as Anambra State Governor, Professor Charles Soludo CFR, launched the operation farm to feed campaign at Amansea.
Mr. Ezeajughi emphasized that farming is not only a solution to hunger but also a means to create jobs, generate income, and strengthen the state’s economy. He argued that engaging in subsistence agriculture is essential to combat the poverty that plagues the country.
The Chief of Staff further highlighted the need for all residents to return to farming in order to lower the prices of staple food items. By increasing agricultural production within the state, the cost of food will decrease, relieving the burden on consumers.
Mr. Ezeajughi praised Governor Charles Soludo CFR for being at the forefront of this campaign and leading by example. He described Governor Soludo as a valuable asset to Anambra, Nigeria, and humanity as a whole.
The launch of the operation farm to feed campaign is expected to ignite a renewed interest in farming among the residents of Anambra State. Through this initiative, it is hoped that hunger will be alleviated, job opportunities will increase, and the state’s economy will experience a boost.
The Chief of Staff’s call to action serves as a reminder to all citizens that farming can not only sustain their households but also contribute to the overall welfare of the state. It is a collective effort that, if embraced wholeheartedly, has the potential to transform the agricultural landscape of Anambra State and positively impact the lives of countless individuals.
