The Amafor community recently held its vibrant annual festival at the Amafor Civil Center in Nkpor, drawing a host of esteemed guests and local leaders. The event, a beloved tradition in Amafor, brought together residents, leaders, and notable figures, including the Mayor of Idemili North Local Government, Hon. Stanley Nkwoka, and the Special Adviser to the Governor, alongside respected members of the Amafor Vigilante Group (AVG) and other influential dignitaries.
During the celebrations, Amafor Community Chairman, Engr. Idemili Emmanuel, known as EmmaGOLD Oputa Ife Adi, expressed his gratitude, highlighting the festival as a symbol of unity and pride for the community. “It is a great and wonderful event that the Amafor community always cherishes each year. We thank God for this blessing,” Emmanuel stated.
A highlight of the occasion was the unveiling of a new clinic, a community project by Emmanuel Idemili, designed to provide free healthcare to Amafor residents. The clinic, offering services directed by Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo, was inaugurated by Mayor Hon. Stanley Nkwoka.
“It is a joy to see such a facility now accessible in Amafor. I encourage everyone to bring their families for care—services are completely free,” Nwokoma affirmed, emphasizing Governor Soludo’s dedication to accessible healthcare.
The Mayor also announced that education in Anambra State is now free from primary school to senior secondary (SS3). He urged parents to take advantage of this opportunity, thanking the Governor for his commitment to education and the future of Ndi Anambra.
The festival saw a large gathering of notable figures such as Hon. Monday Nwokoye, Hon. Chike Samuel Ezenduka, Hon. Afam, CEO of Darling Hills Hotel and Suite, and many others, all showing support and pride for the Amafor community. The event marked a memorable day filled with joy, gratitude, and a vision for a prosperous future.
