Abakaliki, August 29, 2025 — In a landmark show of solidarity and vision for progress, stakeholders of Ebonyi indigenes residing in Anambra State on Friday paid a courtesy visit to the Executive Governor of Ebonyi State, Rt. Hon. (Builder) Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, at the Governor’s Lodge in Abakaliki.
The high-powered delegation was led by Chief Moses Ofoke, President General of Ebonyians in Anambra; Chief Monday Nwokoye, Patron; and Chief Moses Agbom, Vice President, alongside other distinguished leaders and community representatives.
The visit served as a strategic platform to deliberate on the welfare of Ebonyians living in Anambra and to explore sustainable avenues of fostering stronger socio-economic ties between Ebonyians in the diaspora and their home state.
Governor Nwifuru warmly welcomed the delegation, commending their steadfastness in promoting unity, peace, and development. He reassured them of his administration’s unwavering commitment to inclusive governance and continuous engagement with Ebonyians across Nigeria.
“My administration is dedicated to strengthening the bond between Ebonyians at home and those in the diaspora. Together, we can build a stronger, more prosperous Ebonyi State,” Governor Nwifuru stated.
Speaking after the meeting, Chief Monday Nwokoye described the interaction as both “fruitful and inspiring,” noting that Ebonyians in Anambra are eager to contribute meaningfully to the growth of their state of origin while remaining supportive residents of their host state.
The delegation reaffirmed their loyalty to the Ebonyi government and pledged to mobilize grassroots support for developmental initiatives that would benefit Ebonyians both within and outside the state.
The meeting was widely adjudged successful, setting a new tone for collaboration, unity, and shared prosperity among Ebonyians.
In conclusion, Governor Nwifuru extended warm greetings to his brother, the Governor of Anambra State, Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo (Olu Atuegwu), emphasizing the spirit of inter-state brotherhood and cooperation.
