Ukpo, Anambra | June 13, 2025 — In a powerful and reform-driven address, the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in charge of Zone-13 Headquarters, Ukpo, AIG Abayomi Peter Oladipo, issued a clarion call to all officers under his command—“Rise to the standard, or step aside.”
The occasion was the General Lecture Parade held at the Zonal Headquarters on Friday, June 13, 2025, and it marked a defining moment in the ongoing transformation within the Nigeria Police Force.
The highly strategic assembly was convened to communicate fresh directives from the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), following a recent high-level security meeting in Abuja, with a focus on restoring integrity, strengthening professionalism, and enforcing discipline across the ranks.
AIG Oladipo did not mince words as he laid out a blueprint for Zone-13 officers, hinged on compliance, conduct, and consequence.

While commending current crime-fighting efforts, the AIG stressed the need for enhanced intelligence gathering and constant operational alertness.
Visibility and vigilance, he said, must become a culture—not an option.
All investigations must be fact-based before arrests are made.
IPOs were warned to avoid actions that could lead to custodial deaths, insisting on strict adherence to detention procedures.
No suspect is to be charged to court without direct AIG approval, and every arrestee must be properly profiled.

Zero Tolerance for Corruption & Policy Violations! Reinforcing the ban on POS machines within and around the Zonal Headquarters, AIG Oladipo took a firm stand on corruption.
He announced forthcoming training and retraining of officers on proper Orderly Room disciplinary processes, and made it clear:
“Corruption, bribery, and extortion have no place in the new Nigeria Police.”
Furthermore, he cautioned that senior officers will be held vicariously liable for any misconduct by subordinates under their supervision.
Zone-13 as a Beacon of Reform AIG Oladipo reaffirmed his commitment to the reform agenda of the Nigeria Police Force under the current IGP administration.
Exhibit professionalism at all times
Stay focused on their duties
Uphold the dignity and image of the Force
According to the Zonal PRO, CSP Ihunwo Josephine K., ANIPR, the parade was a turning point for Zone-13, setting a new tone for law enforcement leadership in the region.
“Zone-13 is now positioned to lead by example—setting the pace in discipline, accountability, and trust,” she affirmed.
