Onitsha North, Anambra State — The Woliwo community, a serene settlement in Onitsha North Local Government Area, is stepping up security efforts to address rising concerns over criminal activities that threaten the peace of its residents.
Despite being a relatively peaceful neighborhood, Woliwo has faced sporadic incidents such as break-ins affecting homes, vehicles, and shops. These recurring disturbances have prompted the community to call on the government for swift action to ensure the safety and welfare of its inhabitants.

The Woliwo security team, a dedicated local task force established to maintain order, has been lauded for its relentless efforts in safeguarding the community. To further support their mission, the President General of the Woliwo community, Mr. Ugochukwu Ezeanuna, recently announced plans to bolster security operations.
In his statement, Mr. Ezeanuna revealed that the community government would recruit additional security personnel to enhance surveillance and response capabilities. He also disclosed plans to install CCTV cameras at strategic points throughout the area to improve monitoring and deter criminal activities. Additionally, new security posts will be established to ensure faster access to security assistance when incidents occur.

“We are committed to protecting our people and their property,” Mr. Ezeanuna stated. “Our security team has done an excellent job, and with these new measures, we aim to create an even safer environment for everyone.”
Residents have expressed optimism about these developments, believing the improved security strategies will reduce the occurrence of criminal activities and enhance peace in the community.
