In a move to ensure efficiency in policing, the Commissioner of Police, Anambra State Command, CP Ikioye Orutugu, fwc, mnips, PhD, today paid an unscheduled visit to the Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Formation in Awkuzu.
During the visit, CP Orutugu charged officers to demonstrate greater commitment to duty and improve their response time to incidents. He emphasized the importance of swift action in crime prevention and maintaining public confidence in the security architecture of the state.
Beyond urging officers to be more proactive, the Commissioner also advocated for an upgrade of the current security infrastructure in the state, highlighting the need for improved operational facilities and welfare for officers.
CP Orutugu has continued his patrol and inspection tours across Anambra State, covering key locations such as Onitsha, Umunya, Airport Road, Nteje, Ogidi, and Ukpo, among others. These visits are part of his broader strategy to ensure a visible security presence and enhance public safety.
The Anambra State Police Command remains committed to maintaining law and order, with the CP reaffirming his dedication to a safer and more secure Anambra.
