Today, November 1, 2024, the Anambra Road Traffic Management Agency (ARTMA) conducted a major operation across key roads in Anambra State to clear illegally parked vehicles and enforce road-use regulations. Led by Hon. ChukwuEmeka Okonkwo, popularly known as Konti, ARTMA’s Managing Director, the operation mobilised ARTMA staff including Chuzzy Okoli and all team members, as they carried out inspections at busy locations such as Main Market, Old Road, Head Bridge, Owerri Road, Atani, Ven Road, Upper Iweka, and other key areas.
Hon. Okonkwo’s team diligently followed the governor’s directive, ensuring that vehicles adhered to designated parking areas. This initiative, aimed at reducing congestion and improving road accessibility, was well-received by residents. One local citizen expressed appreciation for Governor Prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo’s vision, stating, “This is a good development for our state, freeing it from congestion and allowing citizens to walk freely.”
The collaborative efforts of ARTMA, under Hon. Okonkwo’s leadership marks a significant step in enhancing the safety and efficiency of Anambra’s roadways, contributing to a cleaner, more organised environment for all residents.
