The Villa Banquet Hall in Abuja was abuzz with activity yesterday as the Honorable Minister of Women Affairs organised the much-anticipated event under the theme EmpowerHER. The event, which highlighted the importance of empowering children and young women in Nigeria, was graced by notable dignitaries, including Chief Arthur Eze and Hon. Nzubechukwu Henry Ikeji, President and Founder of the Nzube Ikeji Foundation, alongside other influential personalities.
In his speech of thanks, Hon. Nzubechukwu Henry Ikeji commended the Honorable Minister for her visionary leadership and commitment to the welfare of Nigerian children. “This is an excellent initiative,” he said, adding that his foundation has been actively involved in supporting underprivileged children, widows, and ensuring that many children return to school.
Chief Arthur Eze and other prominent figures in attendance lauded the efforts of the ministry and emphasized the need for more collaborative efforts to uplift the less privileged across the country.
The EmpowerHER event stands as a significant step toward advancing the rights and opportunities for children, especially girls, across Nigeria, with leaders pledging their continued support for this vital cause.
