In a striking political development, Chief Bucknor Agu, the Chairman Soludo Support Group, Ogbaru Main Market Chapter, has raised concerns about the actions of Chief Humphrey Anuna, the President General of the Anambra State Markets Amalgamated Traders Association (ASMATA), accusing him of undermining the structures of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in Ogbaru Market and other markets across Anambra State.a
According to Chief Bucknor Agu, recent incidents suggest that Chief Anuna might no longer be loyal to APGA, raising the question of whether he is working for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC). Chief Agu’s concerns stem from a series of troubling events in the market, where Anuna is accused of fostering instability and sabotaging APGA’s presence.
According to Chief Bucknor Agu, the Former president of electronics Market recently wrote a stinker of illegal levy extortions, and how Anuna was collecting levies even on numbers written on shops, etc. And now this dismantling of structures shows that he is an enemy of the party of Apga, that is why I am raising the question of whether he is working for the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC). Chief Agu’s concerns stem from a series of troubling events in the market, where Anuna is accused of fostering instability and sabotaging APGA’s presence.
However, the ASMATA Pg is an enemy to the party in the market, These actions, he claims, are part of a larger scheme to dismantle APGA’s remaining market structures, a legacy built by Chief Ndubusi Ochiugo, a prominent APGA sponsor in the region.
“Mr. Governor prof. Chukwuma Charles Soludo, we need swift action,” Chief Agu urged, emphasizing that the destructive leadership of Chief Anuna could wipe out the political foundations that APGA has painstakingly built in the market community. He further lamented Chief Anuna, is to wipe away the strong Apga stakeholder in the market that can bring peace and harmony to the people of the market, the APGA stalwarts like Chief Ndubusi Ochiugo, Chief Bonaventure Muo, and Chief Innocent Ezeoha, Anuna is a treat to Apga and the people of the market he torns with guys to collect money from occupants in the market.
Chief Agu expressed particular alarm over the fact that Anuna seems to be alienating key APGA stakeholders within the market, despite their long-standing loyalty and substantial contributions to the party. “We are still wondering how Chief Anuna could sack a strong APGA supporter who commands 100% backing in Ogbaru Market and its environs,” Agu noted.
The market community, too, has reportedly grown wary of Chief Anuna’s leadership style, with accusations that he is threatening market leaders who refuse to support his alleged illegal activities. According to Chief Agu, such behavior could lead to further disillusionment with APGA and erode its influence in the region.
As tensions mount, Chief Agu’s call for immediate governmental intervention rings loud, with many urging the state governor to step in before APGA’s foundations are further eroded.
The allegations have sparked heated discussions about Chief Anuna’s political allegiance, with many now questioning whether his actions serve APGA’s interests or if he is, in fact, working to benefit rival parties. As the situation unfolds, all eyes remain on the leadership of Anambra State and how they will address the growing unrest within the market community.
