On the 22nd day of August 1969, amidst the chaos and devastation of the Biafran War, Chief Emeka Joseph Orji entered into this world. Born to Late Chief Pius Orji and late Lolo Grace Orji of Isuofia Town in Aguata local government area of Anambra state, young Emeka Joseph Orji would go on to overcome challenges and shape his destiny.
Emeka’s parents shielded and nurtured him during those difficult times, ensuring his safety as bombs fell and the Federal forces clashed with the resistance of the Biafran Army. It was from these humble beginnings that Emeka embarked on his educational journey. He attended Agia Primary School in Fegge Onitsha, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 1981.
His pursuit of knowledge continued at Comprehensive Secondary School in Onitsha, where he excelled and obtained his West African Examination Council (WAEC) Certificate. Emeka’s thirst for knowledge led him to enroll in the famous Institute of Management Technology (IMT) in Enugu, where he studied Business Administration from 1987 to 1989. He also had the opportunity to further his studies abroad at Newhan College in London from 1993 to 1995 and South Bank University, London, from 1999 to 2001.
Emeka’s intellectual pursuits did not end there. He went on to attend the University of East London from 2008 to 2012, where he earned a Second Class (Lower Division) Honour. Equipped with knowledge and experience, Emeka entered the world of business and eventually became the Chairman of BlackBerry Cargo United Kingdom. Destiny and providence smiled upon him, rewarding his hard work and determination.
Today, Chief Emeka Joseph Orji is happily married with children and serves as the Transition Chairman of Onitsha South local government area. Over the past year, his leadership has brought about remarkable transformation within the community. The people of Onitsha South and its residents have experienced the benefits of good governance and purposeful leadership, championed by his mentor, Governor Prof Charles Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra state.
Chief Emeka Joseph Orji, affectionately known as Oba Amani, has emerged as an inspirational figure. His journey through life’s trials and tribulations has left him unscathed, a testament to his resilience and determination. In his mid-fifties, he stands as a symbol of hope and progress, forging a path towards a brighter future for his community.

His commitment to personal growth and his dedication to community development have made him a respected figure.
