In a recent environmental inspection conducted by the Sasa team in Anambra State, a notorious criminal, one Mr. Chukwudi Akidi, from Abia State was apprehended for vandalising the water tunnel of the bridge and stealing the properties of the Second Niger Bridge. The swift action taken by the Sasa team led to the successful capture of the suspect, who had been causing significant damage to government property by selling stolen materials to scrap dealers.
In an interview with Pechilly and The Moments Online Podcast, the Director of Sasa, Solomon ChukwuEbuka Onwuemene, emphasised the importance of their surveillance efforts in safeguarding critical infrastructure like the Second Niger Bridge.
