In an important development for the Nigeria Police Force, the Departmental Selection Board (DSB) exercise for the year 2024 has officially commenced. The exercise, which aims to promote and confirm Inspectors who were in service before December 31, 2019, started today across all 17 Zones of the Nigeria Police Force. The inaugural session took place at the Zone13 Zonal Command Headquarters in Ukpo-Dunukofia, Anambra State.
Addressing the officers who appeared for the exercise, Assistant Inspector-General of Police (AIG) Zone13 Ukpo and Chairman of the Selection Board, Godwin Ndidi Aghaulor psc(+), emphasized the importance of good conduct and exemplary character for officers aspiring to be recommended for a promotion to the rank of Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP). AIG Aghaulor assured the officers that the selection process would be fair and unbiased, ensuring that deserving officers who qualify from the board will be recommended for promotion without any hindrance.
The DSB exercise is scheduled to continue until June 7, 2024. It is mandatory for all qualified candidates to appear before the board in the appropriately approved dress code for the exercise. Promptness and adherence to the assigned schedule is of utmost importance.
