The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has praised the people of Anambra for their courageous stand against the illegal sit-at-home directive issued by criminal elements. He commended the residents for prioritizing peace and unity over the disruptive activities of misguided individuals.
CP Itam, who led a police security patrol to various locations in the state, expressed his admiration for the vibrant and enterprising nature of the people of Anambra. He emphasized the importance of a peaceful and secure environment for the full realization of the state’s potential.
During the patrol, the Commissioner of Police also visited West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) centers and was pleased with the security arrangements in place. This confirms the commitment of the police in ensuring the safety of students and the smooth conduct of examinations.
In light of these developments, CP Itam urged the security personnel assigned to maintain law and order during this period to remain resolute, firm, and professional in discharging their duties. He called on residents to remain vigilant, law-abiding, and continue to support the police and other security agencies with relevant information.
The CP stressed the need for collaboration and synergy among all stakeholders to combat criminal activities and maintain public order and safety in Anambra State.
