The Anambra State Police Command has initiated a manhunt for the abductors of Rev Father Basil Chukwuemeka, following his unfortunate abduction at Nkpor Junction in Onitsha. Eyewitnesses are currently assisting the police in their ongoing operation to locate and rescue the priest.
In response to the incident, Commissioner of Police, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, addressed the Catholic priests at the Bishop Conference in Onitsha. CP Itam assured them that the Command is committed to doing everything possible to secure the safe release of Fr. Basil Chukwuemeka and apprehend the abductors. The police have assured the public that any developments in the case will be promptly communicated.
Fr. Basil Chukwuemeka’s abduction has sent shockwaves throughout the community, and the police are intensifying efforts to ensure his swift and safe return. The Command urges anyone with any information regarding the incident to come forward and assist in the investigation.
The entire community joins together in praying for the quick and safe return of Fr. Basil Chukwuemeka, and for the success of the police in their operations to bring the abductors to justice.
